Close to Home, Close at Heart

Our commitment to providing exceptional child care comes to life everyday through our comprehensive pediatric care services. This legacy of excellence dates back more than 50 years, when we opened our first, four-bed pediatric unit.

Today, Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida is the region’s leader in pediatric medicine, as we continue to passionately focus on the health, growth and development of infants and children.

What these services mean to families in Southwest Florida is that seriously ill children, including those with a range of life-threatening conditions, are able to stay right here in our community with family and friends – instead of having to endure the stress and isolation of travel to Tampa or Miami. Children and their families can focus on healing, not unnecessary hardships.

Helping to ease the burdens that often arise when a child is ill, we provide a family lounge for immediate family members, and visiting hours for parents/guardians are 24 hours a day. There are also sleeping accommodations for parents in each child's room. The Ronald McDonald House is located on the HealthPark campus and is available for extended family stays, if needed.
