About Pediatric Developmental and Behavioral Medicine
The Pediatric Developmental and Behavioral Medicine Program at Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida offers evaluations and follow up for a variety of developmental, behavioral and learning differences. This includes issues associated with developmental delays, intellectual, learning and other developmental disabilities, such as autism spectrum disorders.
What is Pediatric Developmental and Behavioral Medicine?
This program combines both medicine and psychology and focuses on how people's thoughts and behavior affect their health. Our compassionate and forward-thinking experts provide the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment tailored to the needs of children and their families.
Our doctors are concerned with the emotional, behavioral or developmental problems in children and youths and use treatment techniques including medication, psychotherapy, family therapy and/or direction for educational treatments within the child's school.
