Lee Health has developed an efficient yet comprehensive approach to meeting the educational needs of our nurses. We have unit-based Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Specialists. We partner with other departments in offering contact hour programs and American Heart Association certification programs, nursing specialty certification reviews, and present at national conferences - there is never a charge for any of these programs for our employees. We also provide the crucial first step in the education journey here at Lee Health with the hospital nursing orientation program that every new nurse attends. During this first step, an assessment is used to develop an individual orientation program. We also develop and sponsor national-level conferences that are offered as a benefit to our nurses.
