John Chomeau

John Chomeau joined Lee Health in April 2017.

Leadership Responsibilities

John’s responsibilities include developing innovative business models that create a seamless healthcare system for Lee Health’s patients’ needs and which incorporate care delivery strategies that improve patient experiences and provider engagement with the goal of improving population outcomes across the continuum-of-care. He also manages contract development and negotiation, network management, provider relations and technology solutions to support and define the Accountable Care strategic direction. He also oversees the development and execution of Lee Health value-based care strategies that include infrastructure, resources, contracting, partnerships and innovative community-care models.

John also is responsible for the Physician-Hospital Organization (PHO) and Clinical Integration Network (CIN) and oversees the development of strategies that meet the needs of providers, Lee Health, local employers and payers, while also improving quality and service to patients.

Professional Experience

Before joining Lee Health, John served as president and CEO of Magellan Health, Commercial Behavioral Health Care Division in Scottsdale, Ariz. He also served as president of Aetna’s Medicare Health Care Division, in Hartford, Conn. John also was officer and vice president and general manager of Medica’s Center for Healthy Aging in Minneapolis, Minn. Before those positions, he served as chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing at UnitedHealth Group in Minneapolis.


John earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Radford University, Radford, Va., and completed the Harvard School of Public Health–Healthcare Executive Leadership Program.
