Armando Llechu has responsibility for the oversight of strategy and operations for Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. Armando works closely with Dr. Emad Salman and the leadership team with regard to pediatric community outreach and regional networking.
Armando has worked closely with Lee Health for several years in his role as Vice President of Clinical Operations at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Miami Children’s Health System.
Armando has oversight of strategy and operations for Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. His core capabilities include service line development and implementation, development of ancillary services and the successful management of business operations. He has sound leadership skills and the ability to creatively collaborate with executives, staff, and physicians to achieve organizational goals.
Armando’s areas of expertise include financial and operational performance management, and clinical and administrative health care. His previous responsibilities at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital include serving as its Administrative Director, Emergency Department and Support Services and also Director of Patient Access and Utilization Review.
Prior to joining Miami Children’s Health System, Armando was Director of Patient Access at Tenet Healthcare’s St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, and previously Regional Supervisor of its Medical Eligibility Program.
Armando earned a bachelor’s degree in of Health Services at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Fla, and a master’s in Business Administration at Florida International University, Miami, where he also earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
