St. Katherine’s Greek Fest, Naples to Raise Funds for Barbara’s Friends

(Naples, Fla. – Jan. 31, 2017) --- The Southwest Florida community is invited out to Greek Fest at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Naples and join forces with Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s Hospital Cancer Fund to provide lifesaving care to children battling cancer.

The fun takes place Friday, Feb. 10 through Sunday, Feb. 12 on the St. Katherine church grounds at 7100 Airport Rd, N in Naples with parking on the NE corner of Airport Rd and Orange Blossom. Hours are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and Noon – 7 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is just $5 per adult for the entire weekend; children under 12 are free.

New this year, attendees can pick-up their admission wristbands early at any Lee Health campus gift shop in exchange for your donation to Barbara’s Friends. Call Lee Health Foundation at 239-343-6950 for more information.

St. Katherine’s will donate a portion of proceeds from the 3-day event to Barbara’s Friends, a program which provides equipment, staffing and other vital services to our area’s only state-designated pediatric oncology center located at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida’s in Fort Myers.

Children from Naples and surrounding communities can also receive care for cancer and life threatening blood disorders close to home at the newly opened Golisano | Nicklaus Children’s Health Center on Pine Ridge Road in Naples.

Be Greek for the week! The event features authentic Greek food and pastries, Greek dance exhibitions, live music, artisans/merchandise vendors, bounce house, rock climbing wall and much, much more. Fun for the whole family!

About Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida

Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida is the only acute care children’s hospital between Tampa and Miami. Part of Lee Health, the children’s hospital opened in 1994 within HealthPark Medical Center. In 2012, the hospital was renamed Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida after B.
