Healthy Living Lecture Series: ‘How Not to Die’

(Fort Myers, Fla. – Jan. 13, 2017) --- Lee Health is pleased to bring you the next in a series of free lectures designed to cover a variety of health care topics to help improve your physical and mental well-being. These interactive and informative lectures are presented by Dr. Sal Lacagnina, system medical director of wellness and employee health.

We all know death is inevitable and unavoidable but what we can do is invest in our health so as to delay death as long as possible. Clinical evidence has proven that early death and disease can be avoided by practicing healthy lifestyle behaviors.

Please join Dr. Sal for “How Not to Die,” an interactive presentation to learn how to achieve optimal wellness, fitful aging and disease prevention, with learnings from Dr. Michael Greger’s book of the same title. This month’s lecture will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Lee Memorial Hospital in the auditorium from 12-1 p.m.

Seating for the lecture is limited and reservations are requested. Please call the Health and Wellness registration line at 424-3234.

The Healthy Living lecture series is presented as a program of Healthy Lee, a community resource that was created to empower and inspire the people of Lee County regarding healthy lifestyle choices through education and action. HealthyLee.com offers information about what we can do locally at home, at school, and in the workplace, such as nutrition and exercise info, smoking cessation, events to attend, health fairs, and more.
