Best-Selling Author Neal D. Barnard, M.D., to Visit Lee County

Author of ‘The Cheese Trap’

(Fort Myers, Fla. – Jan. 25, 2017) --- As part of their National Speakers’ Series, Lee Health is pleased to announce that the next presenter in the series will be Dr. Neal D. Barnard, author of The Cheese Trap which was released in February 2017. His discussion will be about how breaking a surprising addiction will help you lose weight, gain energy and get healthy.

Dr. Barnard is a clinical researcher, author and health advocate. He is an adjunct associate professor of medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and president of the nonprofit Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine. He is a frequent lecturer on issues of health, nutrition and medicine and is the author of several New York Times bestselling books including The 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart and Power Foods for the Brain.

The free talk is open to the public and will be held on Monday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 2061 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers.
