Lee Physician Group Promotes Two New Vice Presidents
(Fort Myers, Fla. – May 25, 2017) --- Lee Physician Group is proud to announce the promotions of LaTrice Davis to Vice President, Lee Physician Group Operations and Diane Smith, RN to Vice President, Ambulatory Nursing.
Davis has served as Lee Physician Group’s System Director of Pediatrics for the past four years. In partnership with Emad Salman, M.D., Regional Medical Officer for Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, Davis helped Lee Physician Group expand and open pediatric clinics in Charlotte and Collier counties. Additionally, Davis helped develop new pediatric subspecialties including ophthalmology, psychiatry and developmental pediatrics; and oversaw continued improvement in the operational and financial performance of the division. In her new role, Davis is responsible for the overall operations of Lee Physician Group.
For the last 24 years, Smith has served in a leadership capacity for Lee Health. For the past four years, Smith held the role of Lee Physician Group System Director of Nursing and Clinical Services. In that time, she developed the Ambulatory Nurse Manager model for education and mentorship of staff; she created the Registered Nurse Care Management program; and led the efforts for recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as patient centered medical homes in all Lee Physician Group primary care locations. Now, as Vice President, Ambulatory Nursing, Smith is responsible for clinical oversight of Lee Physician Group outpatient and home health departments.
“Lee Physician Group has experienced significant growth—doubling in size over the past five years,” explains Kris Fay, Chief Administrative Officer, Lee Physician Group. “In order to continue to provide optimal support to our physicians and leaders, as well as ensure our continued growth, we created these vice president positions and promoted LaTrice Davis and Diane Smith. We believe this new leadership structure will optimize our support for physician, staff and patient satisfaction and engagement.”
