Volunteers are a Gift to the Community

At Lee Health, our volunteers touch many lives in many different ways. They greet you with a warm welcome, treat you with compassion and bring comfort to you with their smiles. Volunteers serve our patients, families and staff with great devotion.

From October 2017 thru September 2018
3,800 Volunteers & Auxilians donated
415,319 hours of service to Lee Health.

This service computes to $9.5 million

You, too, can join this special group. Enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that what you do truly makes a difference. Whatever your talents, interests or skills, a volunteer position is available for you at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida (located on the campus of HealthPark), Gulf Coast Medical Center in Southeast Fort Myers, HealthPark Medical Center in South Fort Myers, and at Lee Memorial Hospital in Central Fort Myers.

Several different types of volunteer opportunities are available at all four facilities. Some volunteer service areas may include interaction with our patient population. Other areas do not include patient contact, such as trolley service, gift shop, thrift shop, reception and clerical positions.

Volunteering is a gift to the community and the rewards are profound.
