DAISY & BEE Awards
Want to say THANK YOU to a nurse?
Share your story!
Say thank you by sharing your story of how a nurse made a difference you will never forget at Lee Health! Awards are driven by patient, family and staff nominations.
The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day.
The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say “thank you” to nurses in a very public way.

Did a member of our team go Beyond Exceptional Expectations?
We want to hear about it!
Nominating a Lee Health team member, physician, or volunteer for a BEE award is a great way to recognize and appreciate team members who have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional service and care.
The BEE award has been around since 2016 and was established to recognize non-nursing team members for "BEEing Exceptional Everyday". Just as the daisy relies on the bee, our team approach to patient centered care would not survive without the support of team members throughout Lee Health.
