Significant and recent investments in South Lee County

Since the grand opening of Lee Health Coconut Point on Dec. 3, 2018, Lee Health has been caring for and building relationships with our neighbors in South Lee County. A modern health and wellness destination, Lee Health Coconut Point offers a multitude of services under one roof, including an emergency department, lab, pharmacy, diagnostics, outpatient surgery, Lee Physician Group offices, the Healthy Life Center, rehabilitation services and more.

As the healthcare needs have grown in South Lee County, Lee Health has continued to invest in facilities to meet those needs.

In May 2023, we celebrated the opening of the Lee Health University Highlands Outpatient Center—a comprehensive, convenient care hub providing easier access for residents and visitors. Located near Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and Grande Oaks Boulevard in Estero, this 20,820-square-foot center offers full-spectrum family medicine, Lee Physician Group offices, a physical therapy clinic, a lab draw station, and advanced diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, ultrasounds, Dexa bone scans, mammograms and more.

Most recently, in December 2024, we partnered with Southwest Florida Proton to bring additional leading-edge diagnostic imaging to the region. Lee Health Imaging, located within the new Southwest Florida Proton Center at 9961 Estero Oaks Drive in Fort Myers, offers 3T MRIs, CT scans, and PET scans. The powerful 3T magnet provides highly detailed images, allowing physicians to develop the most effective treatment plans. This advanced technology, combined with quick and comfortable testing, ensures seamless, high-quality care for our community.

Lee Health’s commitment to bringing services and care to our neighbors in South Lee County has been decades in the making.
