Lee Health Temporarily Offering Discounted Rate for Lee Telehealth

Southwest Florida is, once again, seeing an influx in illnesses, including flu and COVID-19. During times like these, telehealth is a valuable option for care because you can see a doctor 24/7 from the comfort of your home. Lee Health recognizes the benefit of telehealth and has decided to temporarily discount this service from $49 to $20 to enable more people in our community the opportunity to utilize this service.

Lee Telehealth keeps you from having to visit an urgent care, doctor’s office or emergency department. It helps those who have limited mobility or transportation issues. It is a great option for anyone seeking care for non-emergencies, like cold and flu, COVID-19, urinary tract infections, sinus infections, rashes, pink eye, allergies, sprains or strains. Please note, if you are having severe COVID-19 symptoms, including difficulty breathing, or if you are having more serious health issues, like heart attack, stroke and other life-threatening conditions, seek emergency care immediately.

You can access Lee Telehealth from a smartphone, tablet or a computer with a webcam, and patients are connected directly with a physician or advanced provider 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Visit https://www.leehealth.org/our-services/telemedicine/lee-telehealth for more information.

Lee Health also offers same-day, in-home medical visits for our neighbors throughout Lee County through DispatchHealth.

For the same cost as an in-person urgent care visit, you can be treated at home for non-life-threatening health issues, like diarrhea/nausea/vomiting, dehydration, weakness, fever, flu, COVID-19, respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, strains, sprains and minor fractures. Similar to Lee Telehealth and other urgent care offices, you would not utilize DispatchHealth for more serious, life-threatening symptoms, like chest pain, confusion, shortness of breath, severe abdominal pain, stroke symptoms, loss of vision or consciousness, hallucinations, intentional overdose or suicidal thoughts.

DispatchHealth is available 365 days a year between 8 a.m.-10 p.m. With this service, insurance is billed for each visit. Costs will be different for each patient based on their level of care and insurance coverage. Patients can request care without a referral. For more information, go to www.dispatchhealth.com/locations/fl/fort-myers/.

Lee Health is proud to offer both of these services so you can receive high-quality care from the comfort of your own home.
