Recognizing and celebrating the profound impact of our nurses and hospital teams
National Nurses Week, May 6–12, is a time to celebrate the compassion, expertise and unwavering dedication of our nurses. For 23 consecutive years, nursing has been named the most trusted profession in the nation, according to Gallup. That trust is well-placed. Nurses build meaningful relationships and foster connections as they care for, educate and advocate for their patients.
At Lee Health, we are proud to have an exceptional team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and advanced registered nurse practitioners. Whether serving at the bedside or behind the scenes, our nurses are not just the largest segment of our workforce, they are the heart of our organization. They are role models, advocates and essential caregivers who make a difference every day and night.
We are committed to advancing nursing practice and empowering nurses through shared governance and professional development. At Lee Health, our nurses have a voice. They lead, innovate and grow long, fulfilling careers. To explore opportunities to join our nursing team, visit leehealthnursingcareers.org.
As Nurses Week concludes, we begin celebrating National Hospital Week, May 12-18, which recognizes the collective work of all the people who ensure the round-the-clock availability of leading edge, high-quality, compassionate hospital care. Our hospital teams include dedicated folks, like doctors, therapists, technologists, transporters, plant operations, food service workers, housekeeping, volunteers and administrators, among many others whose commitment and dedication contribute to the smooth operations of our hospitals. If you or someone you know wants to join our exceptional hospital teams, check out jobs. leehealth.org for opportunities.
I am incredibly grateful to every nurse and hospital team member who has chosen to serve others through their work at Lee Health. Your impact is profound, and it does not go unnoticed. ¦
