Volunteering your time and talents to help others is a healthy and satisfying endeavor. Research has shown that people who volunteer have increased levels of happiness and a greater sense of calm, meaning and purpose. Volunteering has been found to improve people’s mental and physical health. It provides opportunities to make friends and build social and support systems with others whose interests and values align. If volunteering appeals to you and you are looking for opportunities to give back, Lee Health is a wonderful place to do it.

Our hospitals, including Cape Coral Hospital, Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, Gulf Coast Medical Center, HealthPark Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital, are currently recruiting volunteers. Almost every department in our hospitals and even outpatient and office settings have volunteer positions available, so you can choose to volunteer in either a patient care or non-patient care area.

You do not need to have a medical or nursing background to volunteer at Lee Health. You can work in a gift shop or uniform store, help with clerical work, drive a trolley, transport patients or serve patients, their families and our staff at a reception desk. Our Volunteer Services teams will work with you to find the position and schedule that works best for you.

If you decide to volunteer at Lee Health, you are joining a team of other volunteers and employees who are mission-driven. Lee Health is blessed with a volunteer workforce that ranges in age and experience and is united and bonded by their kindness, compassion, caring and commitment. We invite you to explore volunteer opportunities by visiting www.LeeHealth.org/for-volunteers/apply-to-volunteer. You can also call Cape Coral Hospital at 239-424-2206, Gulf Coast Medical Center at 239-343-0636, Golisano Children’s Hospital and HealthPark Medical Center at 239-343-5055 or Lee Memorial Hospital at 239-343-2388.

Lee Health volunteers are integral team members, and we strive to provide opportunities that help enrich the health and well-being of everyone who joins our team.
