On My Way allows patients to schedule appointment times at Convenient Care urgent care clinics

(Fort Myers, Fla. – Nov. 21, 2019) --- When you’re sick, waiting to see a doctor is the last thing you want to do. At Lee Health, we understand, which is why we’re proud to announce a new tool to help patients get the care they need without the wait.

“On My Way” is a new feature within My Chart on the Lee Health app that allows patients to check wait times, make an appointment and secure a place in line at certain urgent care clinics, all from the comfort of home. The feature is currently available at the Lee Convenient Care locations at 1682 NE Pine Island Road in Cape Coral and at 4771 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers (near Page Field) with plans to expand to all four clinics in coming months.

“On My Way is a helpful tool for patients with minor sicknesses and injuries, especially those with busy lives who might otherwise struggle to find time to wait at a doctor’s office,” said Kris Fay, Chief Administrative Officer of Lee Physician Group, Home Health and Physician Services. “This new feature is one of several programs that uses technology to help patients receive care at a time and place that conveniently fits into their schedules.”

Lee Convenient Care offers quality, walk-in medical care for adults and children in a cost-effective, comfortable environment. While urgent care clinics typically function on a first-come-first-served basis, On My Way allows patients to mark their place in line, minimizing their time in the waiting room. Lee Convenient Care also accepts most insurance.

In addition to using technology to improve the experience while waiting at a doctor’s office, Lee Health recently launched Lee TeleHealth (LeeTeleHealth.org), which allows patients to use the camera on their phone, tablet or computer to see a physician with the push of a button. This is a great alternative for busy parents and professionals to receive a diagnosis and prescription for a variety of common ailments and injuries without leaving their home or office.

Technology is changing the landscape of health care, and Lee Health continues to lead the way in innovating the delivery of urgent and walk-in care. Lee Convenient Care and Lee TeleHealth are helping patients spend less time in a doctor’s office so they can have more time to spend with their families and finish everything they need to get done on their daily to-do lists.
