Lee Health Resumes Community Contributions Program for Virtual and Outdoor Events
Press ReleasesPosted:
(Fort Myers, Fla. – April 12, 2021) --- After pausing community contributions and sponsorships last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lee Health is proud to reopen sponsorship requests for virtual and outdoor events.
Lee Health is dedicated to giving back to the community and, through its Community Contributions Program, provides support to registered 501(c)(3) organizations in Southwest Florida.
Lee Health reviews requests for support of new and ongoing programs, education and/or awareness or other community outreach activities that support community health and human services, education and workforce development, and other community needs.
Each request will be considered for particular alignment with any of the following health priorities as identified by our most recent Community Health Needs Assessment.
- Access to Healthcare Services
- Cardiovascular & Respiratory Diseases
- Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder
- Nutrition, Physical Activity & Weight
Eligibility requirements include:
- Southwest Florida community-based organization with a 501(c)(3) federal designation or an organization that is being provided fiscal agent oversight by an established community-based organization with such designations, a school or government agency.
- The program for which you seek funding fits within the health priority needs listed above.
- Services/support offered is available to residents of Lee County; Pediatric, Trauma Center or Injury Prevention Services must be available to the residents of greater Southwest Florida, specifically the five-county region: Charlotte, Hendry, Glades, Collier and Lee.
Due to COVID-19, Lee Health is only considering requests for virtual and outdoor events at this time. Any request for an indoor event that takes place in several months may be submitted, and will be reviewed at a later date.
In addition to resuming the Community Contributions Program for sponsorship, Lee Health is unveiling a new online system to streamline the application process. Interested organizations can now apply online by visiting Lee Health’s Community Contributions Program website at www.leehealth.org/about-us/community-affairs/sponsorship. Instructions and eligibility requirements are listed on the site.
Any community member, business or organization can also find helpful tips from Lee Health Infection Prevention on the Community Contributions Program webpage on how to stay safe when hosting an outdoor event.
