Three Lee Health Acute Care Hospitals Recognized as Among the Best 50 Hospitals Nationwide; One Hospital Named Among the Best 100 Hospitals

Healthgrades ranks Lee Health’s hospitals in the top 2% in the United States for patient outcomes, quality

Out of about 4,500 hospitals in the United States, we are thrilled to announce that all four Lee Health acute care hospitals have been named as recipients of Healthgrades® 'America's 100 Best Hospitals' award for 2025, with three of them placing among the Best 50 Hospitals.

It’s the third time that all four Lee Health hospitals were included among the 100 Best Hospitals in the country and the first time Cape Coral Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital ranked among the 50 Best Hospitals. This places Lee Health hospitals in the top 2% percent of hospitals nationwide by Healthgrades, a leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals. 

Lee Health’s hospitals earned these distinctions for consistently displaying comprehensive, quality care across all clinical areas.

The Healthgrades list is based on clinical quality outcomes for 31 condition and procedure groups and its analysis is based on more than 45 million Medicare medical claims at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide for the most recent three-year period available. No hospital can opt-in or opt-out, nor can they submit their own data. 

In addition to earning a spot on the America's 100 Best Hospitals list, all Lee Health acute care facilities have been recognized in the Best Specialty category as America's 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care and Pulmonology Care. Cape Coral Hospital also made the list for Gastrointestinal Care and Gastrointestinal Surgery. Gulf Coast Medical Center got high marks in Cranial Neurosurgery Care and Neurosciences. Lee Health hospitals have received these honors for the past several years.

Children’s hospitals are not ranked in this list.
