Lee Health—Home to the Only A-rated Hospitals in Southwest Florida

Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital earned an “A” in The Leapfrog Group’s 2018 Hospital Safety Grades last fall. A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting improved health care safety, quality and affordability in the United States, The Leapfrog Group releases its hospital safety grades twice a year.

Lee Health Partners with FSU College of Medicine to Open Internal Medicine Residency Program at Cape Coral Hospital

The Lee Health Board of Directors and The Florida State University College of Medicine are announcing plans to create an internal medicine residency program in Cape Coral. This marks the second collaboration between the two organizations, following Lee Health’s family medicine residency program which welcomed its first class in 2014.

Golisano Children’s Hospital is a “Top Hospital” for 3rd year straight year

Leapfrog also publishes an annual list of the top children’s hospitals in the United States. In 2018, Leapfrog named Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida a “Top Hospital” for the third consecutive year. Only 13 children’s hospitals in the country, and only three in Florida, earned this distinction.
