External Quality


The External Quality department serves as a liaison for Quality Improvement Organizations and third-party healthcare partners alike, fostering a collaborative partnership aimed at improving the quality of care. In addition, the External Quality department oversees and coordinates communication from Lee Health to external quality performance programs, in response to requests, determinations, and developed corrective action plans. The department ensures that Lee Health's responses for these requests are prompt and any quality improvement opportunities are immediately addressed.

Julie D'Amico RN


Julie D'Amico RN serves as the Healthcare Quality Manager at Lee Health. Julie is a nursing leader whose career work has always focused on advocating for improved clinical quality outcomes for the patients she has served.

Julie's passion for improving quality has driven her career experiences. She has 20 plus years in Neonatal and Pediatric care in Philadelphia. Since moving to Florida, she served as Risk Manager/Quality Director for an HMA facility in Sebring. She also served as Chief Nursing Officer for 3 years prior to joining LeeHealth. She served 10 years in Medical Staff Quality prior to moving to External Quality Review.
