We understand that receiving two separate bills for the same visit can be confusing. Our billing formats are required to follow federal and insurer guidelines, based on how the location of service is defined. Sometimes this results in two separate claims being filed for the same service.

Did You Know? Lee Health Now Offers Bill Pay by Text and MyChart

Lee Health is sending bill pay text messages to patients, making it easier than ever to manage and pay your medical bills. Payments can be made quickly and securely using Apple Pay or Google Pay directly through your MyChart account.

Please note: These billing text messages will never ask for personal information beyond your first and last name. Patients can manage how they receive billing notifications (emails, texts or MyChart app notifications) by updating their Communication Preferences in MyChart or by speaking with a Lee Health staff member who can assist.

There are several reasons why you may receive two separate bills, including provider-based billing at specific Lee Health clinics.

With a MyChart account, you'll have access a number of features that help you understand and pay your bill with Lee Health. Some notable actions you can take with a MyChart account are listed here:

  • View and print your statements
  • Make payments
  • Create a payment plan with recurring automatic account deductions
  • Sign up for paperless billing
  • Receive notifications when new statements are available, and payments are due
  • Send and receive responses to your billing questions
  • Submit a financial assistance form
  • Request estimates for services and procedures

Patients can get immediate self estimates thorugh MyChart or request an assisted estimate. An assisted estimate must be requested in writing or by phone and is provided within 7 days.

We understand that not all patients have insurance or the same financial circumstances. We have a variety of discount programs, payment options, and specialists who can work with you one-on-one to understand your bill, your insurance coverage, and the assistance you may qualify for.

Payment options are available for those unable to pay their bill in full. Our specialists willl work with you to find the best payment plan for you. Discounts may also be offed on a sliding scale based on income.
