Medicaid

Medicaid provides medical coverage to low income and disabled individuals and to low income families with children. There are several types of Medicaid coverage, each with its own distinct coverage. Typically, when Medicaid pays the hospital bill, you will not have to pay anything. Sometimes, depending on the coverage you qualify for, you may have to pay a share of the cost.

Generally, low-income families with children and disabled people may qualify for Medicaid. Each state has different eligibility guidelines.
