Stay tuned to hear from our Program Development Coordinator Alyssa Bostwick about current priorities and what they mean for the care for your family, such as this great patient story about a new program offrered by our Child Life Specialists:
"Landon, a patient at Golisano, trying out Beat Saber on our portable PlayStation VR. Landon's dad wrote: "Landon has been making amazing progress since his appendectomy on Saturday. He has to get up and move to heal after his surgery. This morning we were walking around trying to get steps in and we bumped into the coordinator of a state-of-the-art virtual reality rehabilitation program at Golisano. It was amazing! Landon got to try Beat Saber and Fruit Ninja." Virtual reality is one of the tools we use to help distract and relieve any anxiety our patients may be feeling during their stay at the hospital!"
