Help Support Barbara's Friends

Every day in the US, 43 families will hear the words, "your child has cancer." 

To raise awareness and support in honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, pediatric cancer survivors from Golisano Children's Hospital will shave the heads of local supporters and community leaders live on Facebook & YouTube September 1 and September 29. The virtual events benefit Southwest Florida children who are battling cancer and other blood disorders at Golisano, showing them that they do not fight alone.

This year marks the 6th Annual Clips for Cancer, and our goal is to raise $350,000. All proceeds benefit Barbara’s Friends, the hospital's cancer fund.  Thanks to the generous donors and sponsors who support Clips for Cancer, no child is denied treatment due to an inability to pay. Every gift makes a difference. 

Last year, Clips for Cancer was cut short due to Hurricane Ian. This catastrophic hurricane added additional financial, physical and emotional burdens on our families. The funds from last year's event were used to help these families recover while their child was battling cancer. We need your help to continue meeting the needs of these families.

There are a few ways you can get involved:

• SHAVE - to be part of the live events in September, shavees are encouraged to pledge to raise $5,000 for Barbara's Friends. A fundraising page will be made for you to help you meet your goal. If interested, please email [email protected].
• FUNDRAISE - not able to shave your head, but want to help spread awareness? Sign up below to become a fundraiser. Set a goal and invite your friends, colleagues and family to help children battling cancer.
• DONATE - everyone can make a difference by giving what they can to help children battling cancer. Help us provide wrap around care for these families during one of the most challenging times in their lives.
