Biography

Dr van Zyl was born in New York City. He grew up in Canada, South Africa, and Greece.  He finished medical school in Cape Town. He did an internship as a House Officer, in General Surgery and Internal Medicine at an Oxford University affiliated hospital in Wales. He finished a family residency at the university of Florida. He also served on the board of directors for the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.

He has been practicing at LPG Family Practice of Clayton Court for over 20 yrs. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and fluent in Afrikaans and English. He enjoys boating, cruises and travelling to exotic destinations.

    A note to all the departments of Lee Health that I have had to visit as of recent. I have to say I feel blessed and pleased to have received the level of care I have from everyone. Thank You for making something I don’t really enjoy doing as pleasant and as in formative as it could be.
