Heather Moorehead, APRN, is a highly experienced cardiology specialist at the Heart Institute, dedicated to providing exceptional care for young adults and adults with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. With clinical interests in cardiovascular disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and advanced heart failure therapies, she is committed to improving patient outcomes through expert diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care. With over eight years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care, Heather brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to her patients. Before earning her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2011 from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, she worked for five years as a bedside nurse in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, gaining invaluable critical care experience. Heather is board-certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and remains dedicated to advancing her skills and staying at the forefront of cardiology care. She takes pride in building strong relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel supported and empowered in managing their heart health. Through personalized treatment plans and patient education, she strives to help individuals lead healthier lives while navigating the challenges of cardiovascular disease with confidence and care.
