Biography
Dr. Daniel Morales, MD, is a dedicated internal medicine physician at Lee Health, specializing in Hospital Medicine. With a focus on improving the quality of life, Dr. Morales is particularly passionate about lifestyle management, including reversing metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. He is an advocate for low carbohydrate diets and therapeutic fasting as part of a holistic approach to managing chronic conditions. Originally from Cuba, Dr. Morales moved to the United States at the age of 16 and, after postponing college, served honorably in the U.S. Navy for four years. His dedication to service and helping others continued in his medical career, where he earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, in 2017. Dr. Morales completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Naples Community Hospital - Internal Medicine Residency Program, a Mayo Clinic affiliate, in 2020. He is board-eligible in Internal Medicine and brings a deep understanding of how lifestyle modifications can drastically improve patient health outcomes. Dr. Morales is also a graduate of Barry University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and was awarded the Dean's Award for academic excellence in Science and Mathematics. Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to improving patient well-being, Dr. Morales strives to empower his patients to take control of their health through informed choices and personalized care.
