Alfredo Vargas, MD

(upbeat music) My name is Alfredo Vargas. I’m originally from Miami Florida, born and raised in Florida. I did my residency in North Carolina and a fellowship in Orlando Florida which I just recently finished. I grew up in Miami Florida like I just said, my parents always vacationed on this side of the state and ever since I was little I always told my parents I will when I grow up I want to live on that side. So once I finished my training I look for opportunities here and Lee Health really just kinda stood out was the best opportunity for me. I have a love for kids and the more you get to know me you’ll see I’m just a big kid at heart. Kids are very, very resilient unlike most adults who tend to be the crybabies for more situations, so being able to take care of someone’s child is really one is the biggest honors you can have. They’re putting, most people, parents, their child is their prized possession so the fact that their putting their trust in you to take care of especially in such a stressful situation because unfortunately when I’m seeing a child it’s for something that’s potentially life-threatening. I’m a beach bum. I will be in board shorts and on the beach, or on a boat, or on a Paddleboard or something, anything to that nature. (upbeat music)
