Dr. James Kasiewicz, MD, FACS, is a highly skilled Trauma Surgeon and the Medical Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Lee Physician Group. Board-certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care/Trauma, he is an expert in managing critically ill and injured patients. Dr. Kasiewicz earned his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, completed his internship and residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, and pursued a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an ATLS-certified physician, he is dedicated to delivering advanced trauma care with precision, compassion, and a patient-centered approach. Known for his ability to listen attentively and communicate clearly, he ensures that patients and their families feel supported and well-informed throughout their care. His leadership in the ICU fosters a culture of excellence, where he works tirelessly to provide individualized treatment, optimize recovery, and improve outcomes in life-threatening situations.
