Biography

Dr. Brown was born in Bogota, Colombia where she attended Medical school. She did a year of research as an Immunology trainee at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. After completing her Internal Medicine Residency, Dr. Brown was a volunteer physician at the Sihanouk Center of Hope in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a life-changing experience. Dr. Brown completed her Infectious Diseases fellowship at New York Hospital and her clinical research in Brazil.

After she got married, Dr. Brown lived in northern California, before moving to Lynchburg, VA, where she joined a private ID practice. Her family moved to the Fort Myers area to provide her two sons with the opportunity to hone their skills as high-performance tennis players.

She enjoys practicing general Infectious Diseases and has been part of the Ryan White HIV program for the last 20 years.

    Lee Memorial Hospital has done a improvement to their facility that is equal to none. I have been attending the facility now for about two weeks and I can not say enough good about it. Other than Dr Brown, that is fabulous her assistant is the best. I can not say enough about her in a positive way. Keep up the great work.

    All of the staff that I was in contact with were friendly and helpful. My criticism regarding my experience is the parking situation and the building location. Also the office location on the 2nd floor was not very evident and I felt like I was in a maze

    The referral CSR Michelle[ ] went above and beyond in helping me get the referral taken care of so I could see Dr. Brown and get the treatment I needed. Also, the front desk CSRs were extremely helpful in assisting me with financial aid programs since I am cur rently uninsured.
