Maggie Petry, CNM, has always been a caring and empathetic person. While growing up, she would be the first to help sick friends and family members. When she was a college freshman, a tragedy at Maggie's church made her re-evaluate her path. It prompted her to train in a role that empowered her to help others in that same situation. Maggie quickly switched degree paths and finished college with her BSN.
Maggie chose midwifery specifically because she wanted women to have more options, to be heard, and to help them advocate for their own healthcare. Maggie loves seeing women transform into mothers throughout their pregnancy and birth experience. Many people think having a baby is all about the baby, but it's just as much about the mom as it is about the baby. Maggie loves watching families grow and celebrating the gift of life with them.
