Biography
Dr. Matt Fishman, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital (#9 Orthopaedic Hospital by US News) and was then selected to subspecialize in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the world-renowned Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute (#7 Orthopaedic Hospital by US News).
During fellowship training, Dr. Fishman participated in the care of the L.A. Lakers (NBA), L.A. Kings (NHL), Anaheim Ducks (NHL), L.A. Sparks (WNBA), and the University of Southern California (NCAA) among other junior colleges and high schools in Southern California. He has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters as well as presented nationally.
Dr. Fishman is an experienced, compassionate, and relatable physician who strives to teach his patients about their problem so they can make the informed decision on which specific treatment plan available they wish to pursue. He is committed to treat all patients with the best care utilizing up-to-date, evidence-based medicine and techniques. Ultimately, he achieves maximum success in the least invasive way possible.

Dr. Fishman listened to me and answered my questions! He explained my xray results in a way that I was able to understand them. His nurse was very efficient with her questions! The front desk people were very polite and friendly. KEEP UP THE GREAT TEAMWORK!!!!
