Biography

When Dr. Maura Pipkins started medical school at age 50, she was already a wife, mother of three boys, and caregiver to her aging parents. Studying medicine while caring for her family helped her connect with patients and provide them with personalized health care. This experience also inspired her passion for both family medicine and women’s health issues.

Dr. Pipkins often finds that her patients are more concerned about taking care of others instead of taking care of themselves. She is passionate about helping her patients invest in their own health, so they’re empowered to live healthier lives while still helping their loved ones.

In her spare time she enjoys going to outdoor concerts, baseball games, and cooking without setting off the smoke alarm.

    I w recommend Dr Pipkins to several patients that have established themselves with her. She’s excellent Doctor in all areas. I feel cared for by the most knowledgeable and experience doctor I have ever encounter. She exceptional and an asset to Lee health. Lee health needs to recognize her regularly bc she’s never fell short on anything.

    Dr. Pipkins herself!! I'm having a lot if different things happening [ ] and it complicated. I have several specialists and Dr. Pipkins has been amazing to pick up where they [ ] and to bring things together where needed. She takes her time, has read my chart prior to my appointment and it's obvious. She treats me as a whole patient and we come up with a plan together. She's a true gem, I feel lucky to have her as my doctor.
