Biography

Dr. Rivers is passionate about family medicine because it allows her to get to know her patients and have the opportunity to care for the whole family. She enjoys educating patients on healthy lifestyle modifications and chronic disease management. Having grown up in Fort Myers, she is grateful to give back to the community.

In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, spending time with her family, taking her daughters out on the water, and baking sweets.

    This was my initial visit with Dr. Rivers. I felt that she listened to me about my [ ] and made a plan to figure out the real source. She took great care to make sure that I have several future appointments set ([ ], next year's annual) and put me on a schedul e for [ ]. I felt that I could talk to her about anything.

    Dr Rivers answered all my questions. She also made appointments for some therapy and a test. I am very happy with her as my physician.

    Dr. Rivers was wonderful for the follow up appointment we had for after my rehabilitation stay. Dr [ ] is our PCP, whom we care for very much but if he is unable to see us for other appointments due to scheduling conflicts I would definitely try to see her aga in.

    I am Brazilian, and Dr. Rivers, Michelle also speaks Portuguese, which is already a positive point, but that is not the only reason I rated her as excellent. She is an incredible professional, attentive, genuinely interested in helping us. She is an incredible human being.

    Dr. Rivers listens carefully and explains things clearly. She takes plenty of time to discuss any health concerns I have. She is the PERFECT doctor. The staff at The Sanctuary Internal Medicine is always very friendly, cheery, and helpful.

    My husband and I are both very glad we have Dr Rivers as our Primary Doctor, Her and the nurses as well and all at the front desk are always quite helpful and understanding.
