Nabeel Memon, MD

My name is Dr. Nabeel Memon, and I am the Medical Director of Structural Cardiology at the Lee Health Heart Institute. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, I joined the Heart Institute in February 2025. I was drawn to Lee Health because of its clear vision for growth and its commitment to building a robust, forward-thinking cardiovascular program. Being part of that strategy and momentum was an exciting opportunity I couldn’t pass up. As Medical Director of Structural Heart, my focus is on treating structural heart disease—conditions that affect the heart's ability to efficiently pump blood throughout the body. When the heart can’t perform this vital function, patients may experience symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or even persistent fatigue. At the Lee Health Heart Institute, we offer a comprehensive team approach that includes advanced imaging specialists, heart failure physicians, structural cardiologists like myself, and cardiovascular surgeons. Together, we provide minimally invasive, or percutaneous, procedures that can often replace the need for traditional open-heart surgery. These procedures allow patients to recover faster and return to their normal lives more quickly. One of the most important benefits of our program is that patients can access this advanced level of care right here in Lee County—without having to travel out of the area. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, going for walks, and relaxing with friends and family on the boat. And as a proud Alabama native—Roll Tide!
