Raymond May, PsyD

Hello, my name is Dr. Raymond May. I'm a Pediatric Psychologist here at Lee Health in the Bonita Pediatric Outpatient Psychology office. I am originally not from Florida, but Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I came down here mid-pandemic to join FSU's fellowship program. I joined Lee Health through FSU, became involved with pediatrics, fell in love with the population, fell in love with the hospitals and the staff and all the doctors. I felt a calling to come and continue my professional career here. I had the choice of either going to work with adults or the pediatric population, and I did rotations throughout my fellowship with both populations. While working with peds, I noticed a great need for mental health care and a lacking such in this area. I felt that my specialties, my personality, and my ultimate desire for early intervention would be best for that pediatric population. When I'm outside of the office, what I like to do is explore Southwest Florida with my wife and my dog, get acclimated to the different areas, the different towns, the culture, and also to just take in the scenery.
