Meet the Doctor

I am Sandraliz Solano. I am a family medicine doctor. I am originally from Puerto Rico, but I did my training in New York and I decided to move down here. Now I live in Naples. Well, family medicine is definitely one of the specialties that connects you with the patients, and I was definitely looking forward to that. I am a people person. I love to talk and education is my passion, so I thought that maybe family medicine was the right place for me and that's why I chose this specialty. My cousin, she was down in Naples, and she was actually doing Psychology and she was able to do some of her training with Lee Health as well and she told me about it. I decided to see if this was the place for me. When I came down for interview, I fell in love, not only of this beautiful sunshine state, but also the people. Everyone was so genuine and I just had the connection immediately. And I knew that this was the place for me. When I'm not working I like to do sports. I love soccer. I haven't been doing much actually, since I graduated medical school, because now I am a mother of two. But I am hoping that I will get her to do some soccer as well, so we can probably start playing together, because that's what I like the most, and being active. Besides that, it's just basically spending time with my family, with my two little ones and my husband. Someday I'll just bring my whole family all the way from Puerto Rico so we can do what we love the most, which is being together.

Dr Solano spent a lot of time with me on this visit. She was not only very proficient with her medical explanation of my test results and condition, but exceptionally kind and caring.
