Biography

Sheldon Brownstein, M.D. is a Cardiologist.

Meet the Doctor

(upbeat music) Hi, my name is Shelly Brownstein. I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York and my specialty is cardiology, with an interest in electro physiology. Cardiology was interesting to me because it had a lot of math, and my interest and background was mathematics and cardiology was very mathematical so it became kind of a natural link. I started looking for work as a locum and Lee Health became available and I was familiar with Lee Health from 30 years ago when I practiced in Fort Lauderdale, we used to get referrals from physicians in this community. The hospital care was always known to be excellent so when I heard I had an opportunity to work as a locum, I thought that would be interesting since it had a very good reputation. I am a sports enthusiast. I like to work out. You have to practice what you preach so as a cardiologist you have to practice what you preach, it sets a good example. (upbeat music.)
