Meet the Doctor

My name is Sunil Pammi MD. I’m a pulmonary critical care physician and I am originally from New York. So I came to Ft. Myers in about the end of 2005 and I joined Lee Health shortly after that. It was a good match for me because I wanted to do a lot of impatient and outpatient work and it suited me really well to join the hospital and work as a team with the hospital. So I chose pulmonary critical care because when I was in my residency and I went into my ICU rotations, they were hard and long hours, I was amazed with how sick the patients were and all the things that the physicians were able to do to take care of them and bring them back to life if you were and that just amazed me. Throughout the rest of my residency, I worked towards becoming really proficient at doing those kind of high level high intensity cases and eventually had the opportunity to join my fellowship at Westchester Medical Center and when I got that opportunity I jumped at it and took it right away. You know, it’s a very high intensity level of work everyday and so one of the things that I love to do the most is when I have free time is to go out there on the tennis court and hit the ball as hard as I can. I play at a level of 4-5 so I would say it’s a very high intense game for me. Ive got a couple of my buddies that I play tennis with. Outside of that, I love to travel with my family, we travel all over the world. We’ve been a little bit held back from the resent pandemic stuff, but were back on track and starting to travel again. And then I guess I would consider myself kind of a foodie, im not as well versed as my wife is but she takes us to places and we try different kinds of food amongst other things. I love being outdoors, so we swim, we play pickleball in the family. And so we’re just enjoying the Fort Myers outdoor life that we have here.

Dr. Pammi is the absolute best! I see a number of doctors and am pleased with them, but Dr. Pammi is at the very top of the list. He led me through my recent [ ], alwats demonstrating care & concern. I felt like I was his only patient...of course we know that is far from the truth, especially since he spends half of his time or more working at [ ].
