Dr. Rivera is passionate about working as a primary care integrated psychologist. It allows her to be part of an interdisciplinary team that focuses on providing whole-person care by taking into account the physical and mental health concerns of the population served as well as the social factors that impact their health. She is passionate about prevention and creating access to mental health services.
Dr. Rivera's family, upbringing, and early community experiences inspired her to become a psychologist. She was instilled with an awareness of the importance of social factors and accessibility to quality care in the overall well-being of an individual. She strives to contribute, in any small part, to the quality experience of care of the clients served in the Dunbar community.
What brought Dr. Rivera to work at Lee Health was that it allowed her to work in a context that integrated her professional passions. She integrates psychology into primary care to provide quality and compassionate care to underserved and diverse populations.
