Summer Teen Volunteer Program
Cape Coral Hospital and HealthPark Medical Center are currently offering a Summer Teen Volunteer Program for students ages 14-17 and Golisano Children’s Hospital for ages 16-17. The program starts June 10, 2024 and ends August 4, 2024.
Note: Gulf Coast Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital offer a “Year Round Teen Program,” allowing you to register throughout the year, but does require a four consecutive month commitment.
The requirements for teen volunteering are as follows:
- Commit to volunteering at least 6 weeks out of the 8-week program.
- Must complete at least 6 weeks to receive a certificate of hours for school.
- Work one 4-hour shift per week (same day and time each week).
- Provide proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella)
- Attend a new volunteer orientation and placement interview.
- Purchase a teen volunteer t-shirt.
- Have a positive attitude and sincere interest in helping others.
Please note that our volunteer program does not provide the opportunity to shadow physicians, nurses, or other healthcare providers.
