It’s focused on fun and education. “It’s so much fun! We have learned a lot of different stuff and made lots of friends,” said Myranda Nees. First-time moms like Myranda say the Fourth Trimester Club has helped her adjust to being a new mom. “They do the car seat checks, and the water safety, and the home safety, and that’s just really good information to have.

The Fourth Trimester Club is offered once a week at Cape Coral Hospital and Coconut Point. The program is designed to help moms and babies connect with others while answering parenting questions. “They can share time, share stories, their struggles, their concerns or just awesome milestones their kids have met,” said Jamie Hoover, a personal health advocate with Lee Health.

From tummy time to yoga, and infant massages, each week has a different focus and guest speaker. “I try to bring in speakers from within the Lee Health system that can address some of the questions moms have brought up in conversation,” Hoover said.

Topics like water safety, car seat safety, and lactation can help moms exchange information and get the answers they need. “It’s great to see that they aren’t doing it alone, that there’s someone else out there that are experiencing what they’re feeling,” said Hoover.

A place where both mom and baby can learn, relax, and interact.
