With the da Vinci™ Surgical System, surgeons operate through just a few small incisions. The da Vinci™ System features a magnified 3D high-definition vision system and tiny wristed instruments that bend and rotate far greater than the human hand. As a result, da Vinci® enables your surgeon to operate with enhanced vision, precision and control.

Introducing the da Vinci™ Xi Surgical System

We've integrated what we've learned from our customers and what our design teams have invented and now we're proud to present the da Vinci Xi.

The da Vinci Xi is our fourth generation of Da Vinci system and it has in it over 20 years of learning, how to enhance surgical performance by creating a natural extension of the surgeon eyes and their hands.

This new product features fast poor quadrant surgery substantially improved vision and is a scalable platform for all our advanced technologies.

The overhead boom allows the arms to rotate as a group and this frees up valuable space inside the surgical field allowing unobstructed access to the patient this is all enabled by smaller lighter arms with extended range of motion and improve reach inside the body.

Making the system much easier to use was a primary focus on developing the Da Vinci Xi.

Docking is facilitated by a laser targeting system. Point the endoscope at the surgical site press the targeting button and the system will configure itself into the optimum position for the procedure.

The new endoscope is much easier to use no more draping, calibration, and white balance, you just plug it in and go. With this new architecture you can put the scope in any one of the arms and it gives you a lot more flexibility and set up.
