Utilizing these facilities costs less because Florida Radiology locations are “free-standing” imaging centers, and not structured like our other hospital outpatient departments (HOD). The Florida Radiology centers are great options for patients who do not have insurance or those who have high out-of-pocket insurance plans. Lee Health is proud to announce the opening of our newest imaging location at the Southwest Florida Proton Center, serving Estero and South Lee County with quicker diagnoses and faster treatment. The center offers outpatient imaging services, including 3T MRI, CT scans, and PET scans, featuring Lee Health’s first outpatient 3T MRI magnet, which delivers high-resolution images with a magnetic field twice as strong as a standard 1.5T MRI. Developed by an experienced team, these technologies ensure your physician has the tools to create an effective treatment plan.
