Blood Work and Lab Service
Lee Health operates several laboratories in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Estero. At our labs you'll have your blood work tested along with any other specimens requested by your healthcare provider.
You don't need an appointment to schedule your blood work or other lab services! All you need is your photo ID, your lab order, and insurance information.

You don't need an appointment to schedule your blood work or other lab services, but if you would like to make an appointment ahead of time you can schedule your lab services through the MyChart app! Click one of the links below to get started!
How to Prepare for Blood Work or Other Lab Draws?
When the test is ordered, check with your doctor or APRN to see if you need to make special preparations such as fasting. Our outpatient labs also serve as a drop-off location for patient-collected specimens.
- Make sure you fast if you've been ordered to by your provider: Fasting means you can't eat any food or drink (besides water and black coffee) for 8-12 hours!
- Glucose/Lactose tolerance tests require 12 hour fasts.
- Do not take Biotin (Vitamin B7) 24 hours before your blood work.
- Instructions for Home Health Drop-Offs: Fill out the nurse drop-off book and the drop-off sticker. Lab orders must include: fax numbers, diagnosis codes, Advanced Beneficiary Notice (if applicable), drop-off sticker, tests, doctor's signature, patient's full name and date of birth.
Where Can I Find My Test Results?
Lab tests are accessible 24 hours after collection, and results are communicated to the doctors who ordered them. Patients can log into their MyChart account to access results.
