ALS Clinic
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease, can be a devastating diagnosis for patients and their families.
The cause of ALS is unknown, and there is no cure – but recent advances in research and dedicated care help many ALS patients to live longer and better lives. Lee Health’s ALS clinic provides you with complete, compassionate care in one place so you don’t have to run around from doctor to doctor.
Our clinic serves patients residing in our 10-county area: Lee, Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Monroe and Okeechobee.
We encourage patients with a confirmed diagnosis of ALS to participate in the ALS Clinic.
At each visit, a team of medical professionals individually assesses your symptoms and make recommendations for supportive therapies and symptom management techniques.
Specialists include:
- Ambulatory Rn Care Coordinator
- Dietitian
- Occupational therapist
- Physician
- Physical therapist
- Respiratory therapist

A special team of volunteers, all experienced with the unique challenges facing those with ALS, their caregivers and families, provides support.
