Pediatric/Neonatal & Maternal Transport Team

Serving Southwest Florida by transferring the most vulnerable patients and their families to our hospital

Transport Team: Specialized Care

The Transport Team - a group of pediatric and neonatal critical care registered nurses, registered respiratory therapists, and EMTs or paramedics - transports children with a specialized ambulance 24 hours a day, seven days a week to Golisano Children's Hospital.

We also transport high-risk mothers to HealthPark Medical Center.

We have access to the latest technology and research to improve health care for children, and our dedication helps children get the lifesaving help they need.

Our training ensures we operate in a different way, and you will notice the distinction. We use proven distraction techniques such as iPads and other electronics, child-friendly equipment and instruments, and a special ambulance interior to put patients at ease.

Our Services

  • Advanced airway management, mechanical ventilators and intubations
  • Inhaled nitric oxide
  • High risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
  • UAC/UVC placement
  • Pediatric resuscitation
  • IV/IO placement
  • High-risk maternal transports

Maternal Transport

For maternal transports, a specialized obstetrics nurse trained in labor and delivery joins our team to provide services for mothers who are at high risk for delivering premature infants or mothers who are at high risk for complications. For the mothers that deliver at non-obstetric facilities, we also now have the capability to transport the mother and infant safely in the same ambulance.
