The mobile collection site located at 1510 Sports Blvd. in Cape Coral officially opened today. Initially, the hours will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m., seven days a week. Patients need a physician order and an appointment to have their specimen collected.
We currently have the supplies we need, however, we anticipate a time when shortages and supply chain interruptions could make it difficult to restock. That is why we are proactively asking the community to donate what they can to help mitigate against future shortages. The Lee Health Foundation is accepting donations of supplies between 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donations can be delivered to the Lee Health Foundation office at 9800 S. HealthPark Drive, Fort Myers. Donors should call ahead to 343-6950 to ensure someone is there to meet them to collect the supplies.
To aid in the minimization of visitor traffic into the hospital facilities, the Lee Health Pharmacy is offering “Meds to Curb” service. Patients can call ahead to schedule their pick-up and a member of the pharmacy team will meet them in front of the facility to given them their prescription. This past weekend’s American Red Cross Blood Drive for Lee Health was a great success with 94 units collected. Stay tuned for more information about other community blood drives. Our Blood Centers also continue to accept donations. Click here for Blood Center locations and contact numbers.
