A cardiac event can be unexpected, leaving patients wondering about what comes next. The first step in recovery is rehabilitation. Our comprehensive cardiac program is designed to help you recover and return to your active lifestyle.  At our facilites, you will receive a medically supervised and monitored cardiac exercise plan, as well as standardized education, to help you learn to care for your heart and eat well, while restoring your mobility. We offer these services at HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Unit at Gulf Coast Medical Center, or Skilled Nursing Unit at Lee Memorial Hospital.

Our Team is Dedicated to Your Success

Our highly skilled rehabilitation team includes nurses, social workers, therapists and advanced medical providers who work together to provide you with the care you need. The goal is to restore your health and help you return to your regular activities, from work to recreation.

Our education program is designed to help you learn to manage your heart condition and develop a healthier lifestyle.

Our Program Includes:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy (if needed)
  • Heart Care Education
  • Specialized Nursing
  • Bedside Medical Care
  • Assistance to coordinate equipment needs at discharge
  • Assistance to set up home health and transition services
  • Transportation for cardiac follow-up during your stay

“Before participating in cardiac rehabilitation, I had trouble breathing. After heart surgery, I was amazed I could walk a block without being out of breath. Everyone who works in this program is so special, with a positive attitude. They definitely gave me back my life, both physically and mentally. If I need therapy again, this is where I will go, without hesitation.” –Carol
